Adult Groups

We welcome adult groups to experience a unique agritourism destination in the heartland of the Irish midlands.

Located at the Old Parochial House, Ballynacargy, Co. Westmeath, on 14 acres of farmland with stunning forestry on the banks of the Royal Canal. The area is steeped with history with the buildings date to the mid 1800’s.

Today, it is both a working organic farm and a special haven for our much-loved rescue animals. Here, you can enjoy the peace and beauty of rural life while learning about sustainable farming practices and Ireland’s agricultural heritage.

Spend time with our rescue animals—including sheep, goats, pigs, ducks, and hens—and learn about their care and stories.

Sustainable Farming & Crops

Explore the fields and forestry to see how crops change with the seasons, and discover how organic methods promote healthier food and land.

Biodiversity & Environment

Stroll through hedgerows, wildflower meadows, and along the canal banks, while discovering the importance of pollinators and wildlife habitats.

See tractors and other farming equipment up close. Learn how modern technology helps farmers work more efficiently and sustainably.

Interactive Learning

Our experienced guides tailor the walk to suit the age and curriculum level of your group, making learning fun and memorable. Optional worksheets and activity packs can be provided depending on age and package.

Additional Information

Each tour lasts 2 – 2.5 hours (flexible based on group needs)
There are toilets, handwashing stations and a picnic area on-site.
Routes are accessible for most mobility levels, though unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair users due to the field and forestry terrain. In the warmer months, an adaptable programme can be facilitated in the courtyard for wheelchair users.
