Last week, we were delighted to welcome pupils from Moyvore Primary School, who enjoyed a fun and educational day on the farm!
The visit was organised in conjunction Cara Phort FRC, Westmeath County Council and Longford Westmeath CYPSC.
We thoroughly enjoyed showing the children around and giving them a hands-on introduction to organic living — from learning about planting and caring for young seedlings to meeting some of our friendly farm animals. The pupils threw themselves into every activity with great enthusiasm, and their curiosity and excitement made the day even more special.
There was plenty of laughter too, with hay-bale jumping proving to be a firm favourite, followed by a lovely forest walk to round out the visit.
We hope everyone is taking good care of their little seed pots, and we’re looking forward to hearing how the schools get on with replanting their oak trees.
